Teresa Romanelli is a licensed Nail Technician with over 20 years experience and a licensed Esthetician since 2017. She is an energetic person who loves people and has a passion for her job. She strives to promote and educate her clients on their services so that they may receive the highest quality care possible and leave t feeling relaxed and pampered.
Geri Scott has been a licensed Esthetician since 2004. Having a passion for what she does, Geri strives to help her clients look and feel their best. Her experience and knowledge in skin care will always result in a positive outcome. Ranging from soothing facials, a variety of peels and microdermabrasion, Geri’s treatments accommodate all skin types and conditions by focusing on her clients’ skin care needs and concerns.
Melanie C. Thompson is a licensed Nail Technician at Élan Day Spa. She brings more than 20 years of experience as a specialist in all aspects of nail care although her passion is focused on the care and maintenance of natural nails. Melanie received her education at Strand College of Hair Design in Myrtle Beach, SC. She continued in education and received her Instructor’s license in 2000.
Melanie was appointed by the Governor to the S.C. board of Cosmetology as the Nail Technician member in 2001 and has served as Chairman of the board since 2010.
She has also served the National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology in numerous capacities, including 3 years as President, 3 years as Immediate Past President, and Chairman of the National Examination Committee.
Melanie has also assisted in the editing and review process for several Nail Technology textbooks and DVD’s. In 2010, Melanie along with her co worker, Teresa Shaw, won Best Manicure & Pedicure in the “Best of the Grand Strand”.
Melanie’s passion for professionalism, education, attention to proper disinfection, and quality follows through in her regard to the needs of her clients. The health and safety of the client is the most important aspect of any spa service. In order to fully protect the well being of the public and workforce Melanie makes it a priority to stay informed and educated on the numerous health risks, such as MRSA, that are becoming more prevalent in salons and spas.
Our licensed massage therapist, Jennifer Cuison brings with her to Élan Day Spa more than 20 years of professional massage experience. Jennifer is proud to have received her training from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York, where she found a true passion for her work, as well as a very complete education in the field of massage and bodywork. Her training includes Swedish, connective tissue therapy, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, reflexology, pregnancy massage, shiatsu, hot stone massage, as well as spa body treatments. The needs of her clients are always her first priority, and Jennifer always centers the session around those needs. Whether you have a specific injury, requiring corrective muscle work or are in need of some deep relaxation, Jennifer looks forward to meeting you and sharing with you her love for this work.
Teresa Shaw is a New York native but now considers Myrtle Beach, South Carolina her home. She is an experienced and Licensed Nail Technician since 1997 and prides herself for her quality work and keeping current with the nail industry trends. Her dedication to her many loyal clients is why they continue to return to her year after year. Teresa has also obtained in-depth knowledge of foot and hand massage techniques, along with her nail treatments.
